The William H. Holtzclaw Library, named in honor of the founder of the Utica Campus, is located on the corner of School and Union drives near the center of the Utica Campus. The library is home to two outstanding special collections, The William Holtzclaw Junior Black Heritage Collection and the Children and Family Center Juvenile Collection, both housed on the first floor of the Holtzclaw Library. Within the library is a teaching classroom, a group/conference room and a large meeting room. The library showcases exhibits and programs that enrich the campus and surrounding community. Book talks and reviews share space with traveling exhibits as well as music and drama productions.
In addition to its regular and special collections, the Holtzclaw Library now partners with the newly established Utica Institute Museum to showcase historical materials related to William H. Holtzclaw and the Utica Normal and Industrial Institute, Hinds Agricultural High School, Utica Junior College, and Hinds Community College-Utica Campus.
