William H. Holtzclaw Library: About Us

The William H. Holtzclaw Library is located on the Utica Campus of Hinds Community College.  In addition to a general collection of books and media, the library houses two special collections -  the William H. Holtzclaw Jr.'s Black Heritage Collection and the Children and Family Center Juvenile Collection.  The Holtzclaw Library partners with the Utica Institute Museum located on the campus to provide the materials related to William H. Holtzclaw and the Utica Normal and Industrial Institute, Hinds Agricultural High School, Utica Junior College, and Hinds Community College-Utica Campus.  The campus is listed by the White House Initiative on HBCUs as one of 105 institutions of higher learning designated as Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
