Student IDs

  • An ID card is issued to each student as part of the registration process. 
  • Students are required to have and show a government issued photo ID to get a Hinds ID. 
  • No charge is made for the first card issued. 
  • The replacement cost for a lost, stolen, or missing ID card is $10. 
  • Students are required to get a new ID every August. 
  • The ID card must be surrendered to any College official upon request. 
  • The ID card serves the student in many ways and must me worn on a visible location of one's person at all times when on college property. 
  • Fines for not having a student ID visible begin at $50.

Log into your My.Hinds account to view your Financial Aid Checklist, which outlines additional requirements. 

Once all paperwork is complete, your award letter will be posted in My.Hinds

You must be admitted to the college and enrolled in an applicable program of study before financial aid can be applied to your account. 

There is a representative available on the NAHC campus Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Student Services.

District Financial Aid Offices in Raymond are open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday and until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Books may be charged to the bookstore for the first two (2) weeks of school only.

Grant and loan check disbursements will be sent to the recipient’s home by the HCC Office of Financial Aid. Watch campus bulletin boards for the exact dates that checks will be mailed. NOTE: Check with the Office of Admissions to be sure that your address is correct.

Parking

  • Parking decals are valid from August until July. 
  • To purchase a parking decal bring your student ID and car tag info to the Business Office.
  • Student parking decals cost $30. 
  • Temporary parking decals that are valid for 5 days are free and are allowed twice per semester.
  • Students are required to have a decal by the first day of classes. Fines will begin being issued on this day.
    • Parking violations including no decal and parking in an incorrect spot are $50. 
    • Parking in a handicap spot without valid designation on the vehicle will result in a $100 fine. 

 

Parking Decals are required and may be purchased in Student Services. Tickets will be issued for no decals or illegal parking. Temporary decals may be issued for up to five days if a student finds it necessary to drive a car other than the one registered. Overflow parking is available at the National Guard Armory and the Hinds County Extension Center. Please be good neighbors by parking in spaces furthest away from their building. Cars parked on the street will be ticketed and/or towed by JPD.

Your Way to Pay

  • View your itemized bill at My.HindsPaper bills are not mailed. 
  • Payment is due by the the published deadline each semester. (See Important Dates) 
  • To retain your classes, you must do one of the following by the payment deadline: 
    • Have awarded financial aid (federal, state, MPACT, loans,veteran benefits, and/or scholarships) that covers all expenses. You are responsible for any fees not covered by financial aid -OR-
    • Set up an automatic payment plan in your My.Hinds account (www.hindscc.edu/automaticpayment) -OR-
    • Pay entire balance with cash, check, or credit card.

No financial aid will be applied to your account until you are admitted to the College by submitting all required documents as requested by the Office of Admissions.
